Ale Zapata

Ale Zapata, a Mexican curator and cultural advocate is committed to fostering discussions on gender discourse and exploration of cultural identity. Zapata's journey into curating has been largely self-taught, evolving through a decade of immersive experience at Improper Walls, challenging traditional art institutions and fostering experimentation. The Soundscapes of Resistance produced as a part of Kultür Gemma! fellowship invited artists from diverse cultural backgrounds based in Vienna to channel their artistic sonic practices into a powerful examination of healing, community, and identity.
